As part of the 200th anniversary of the Zurich pioneer Alfred Escher, we have developed an interactive travel guide. The "Escher Walk App", a device independent progressive web app,
should be understandable for a broad target audience. Its basis is therefore a clear interaction structure and graphic layout. However, the user should not focus on his device, but rather
focus on the environment and the history associated with it, so we have chosen a simple guiding element: the compass. The application serves as a vessel for
various contents and is structured according to this guiding principle. Our proposal has prevailed over the competition and is now being implemented externally.
An interactive travel guide app that convinces with a clear interaction structure and at the same time connects the user with his environment. Information becomes situational, only when needed,
is made available - this reduces complexity.
