Title: Alpha-App. Learning to read and write playfully

There are currently around 6.2 million illiterate people living in Germany (LEO Study 2018). Politicians have reacted to this by calling for nationwide initiatives to increase literacy.

research in Alpha courses, I found that the learning material is not appropriate for the target group and urgently needs to be adapted - digital learning opportunities in particular are lacking. This would
illiterate people the urgent desire for anonymous learning. If we want to tackle it, we should do it in the right place!
The "Alpha App" is intended to help illiterate people learn to read. The jury would like to praise Lena Alfter's intensive research on the topic of "legible typography for illiterate people", which ultimately led to the creation of the app.
