Heat islands describe the difference in temperature between a city and its surrounding area. Especially in summer, heat can build up and reduce our quality of life. The website "The heat island
Stuttgart" seeks to relate to citizens and puts the information to be communicated into the context of their surroundings. In six interactive chapters, the user's own location is analysed and the
the respective factor. In each chapter, initiatives are presented in which citizens can get involved.
"Die Hitzeinsel Stuttgart" is an interactive website that aims to make the effects of so-called "heat islands" in the Stuttgart area visible. The jury praised in particular the city-wide campaign
campaign that Sebastian Winter used to make his website better known among Stuttgart's citizens.
