Due to rising sea levels, many coastal areas already face regular flooding. Our draft addresses the question of how, in the event of chronic flooding, residential areas in developing countries can be relocated to the water.
in the event of chronic flooding, residential areas in developing countries can be relocated onto the water. Initially dependent on the mainland, the floating settlements should become more self-sufficient over time. In doing so
our priority was to meet the requirements with as little technical effort as possible. First, housing modules will be provided and then, step by step, the other basic
basic needs are covered step by step. All these supply structures are systems of circuits that build on each other.
In view of rising sea levels worldwide, the concept presented for land reclamation in regions severely affected by climate change was convincing due to its high social relevance and topicality.
topicality. The authors presented detailed housing and supply modules that can be built on the water in a low-tech design using bamboo, a renewable building material.
